Utility disk for Thinkpad 701c

#1 Post by tietze » Mon Feb 20, 2006 2:17 pm

Hi, does anyone have a utilitydisk and PCMCIA disk for the thinkpad 701c?

I tried google and a few ftpsearches, but I've not been able to find it.

It is those two files mentioned in 701_tips.txt:

PXTPX130.EXE PCMCIA Drivers 1.30 07-24-95
UT701111.EXE Utility Disk (ThinkPad Utility Programs) 1.1.16 05-09-95

Aren't you looking for the wrong filename?

If so, it's on the site one post above here:

Yep! You must be right about that - that of course directs my attention to whether the filename of the utilitydisk i spelled correctly - but I have no reason to think otherwise :-) Thanks for the correction!

I actually don't know what's on the utilitydisk, as I don't have it, so I don't know whether it is of any use.

Ahh, a fellow packrat... I was able to dig out floppies of all the original 3rd party software that came with the 701C's... Never owned one, but had the floppies from my days a a computer tech :P

P.S. YAY, just won a "non working" 701C on eBay for $20 free shipping... my current working one was "non working" when i bought it too :P
