Thinkpad 560x -- win95 USB ponderment!

this is probably off the wall, but i'm wondering if anyone has had any past success using this machine's USB port with Win95B. and if so, with what device(s)?
fwiw, this notebook has run well for more than 8 years. it has a wireless card and a fairly stable set of internet and work related apps. there's no real sense of urgency here, just a bit of curiosity on whether this machine can do more than what it already does. its primary use is as a backup, or as an extra when there are two of us traveling.
btw, i'm not unaware that win95B implementation of USB was very poor, but i'm not planning on upgrading it to Win98 SE. for one thing, because the connection on the notebook is broken, the machine has to be run off either battery or port replicator, so i don't think i can flash the bios and update it from what it has, 1.10, to the final version, 1.15. for another it runs well and i'm hesitant to play around with something that's not yet broken.
then again, it sure would be something if i could get it to work with a digital camera.
one last note. i have a Linux version, DSL ([censored] Small Linux), on the machine, but i've found Win95 to be quicker and more stable.
my thanks to anyone for any comments.
best to ALL,
