Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a solution to my CDROM problem. My TP CDROM will only read certain CDs (to be specific, only newly burrnt CDs which have no scratches on them). Of course other computers readily read CDs which my thinkpad refuses to. I'm fairly certain this is a lens related problem, although I don't know how to confirm the same. If however, I go ahead with the assumption that the lens is dirty etc., how would I go about cleaning it? Has anyone done this before? Any insights are appreciated!
PS: I use GNU/Linux (Vector Linux Distribution).
