 Very nice! This is exactly what I was talking about the other day for my hdd
As stated during "crunch time" my hdd is running 'bout 55c and cpu around 59c

Not sure if it's possible or logical but im going to look into adding a small fan near or directly moving positive airflow towards the hdd. As I was purpoesly working the drive hard pushing the temp up high, I was monitoring the temp with 2 different programs that both read the same live temp. I removed the drives cover and blew lightly into it just as if I were cooling a bite of food before eating it and I was able to drop the temp 3c in less than a minute. The hard drive is just begging me for better airflow. I will keep posting if I come up with a viable option. Idea
I can do the dremil work just fine, its electronics I suck at. Will you tell me what fan to get ,what to get for the 5v power and how to install power, please.

You can add a fan among them

Sunon Fan:
17mm - GM0517PDV3-8 (0.5 CFM, 15dBA)
20mm - GM0501PFB3-8 (1.1 CFM, 15dBA)

ADDA Fan:
20mm - AD2005LB-G73 (0.4 CFM, 11dBA)
25mm - AD0205MB-G50 (2.3 CFM, 23.1dBA)

CFM, air flow; dBA, noise

I think GM0501PFB3-8 is the most suitable for its size. But 1.1 CFM is a little bit low to cool...

Power is already installed on video board. No need to install power. Just hook it with a long line. Easy.

Enjoy :)

Awesome pics, and it is great to know that someone could do this this. I might do this to a 770X that I am thinking about putting a 750MHz processor in.

FYI, though: You might want to change your initial subject line to include a warning line for images, as per forum guidelines...or in the alternative, change the pics to links instead of images. Otherwise, a mod might come through and remove the pics all together.

Where did you buy the fan?
