bios sounds

hi folks!!

does anyone know, how to shut down theses bios sounds for a tp 600x??
tried to do it in the easy set up of the bios, but icouldnt find a solution there.
going to system properties of my winn2000 system doesnt work , too!

hmm.. i mean these sound which occur when going to standby or rising the sound due to the function button!!

I know I have controlled the system beeps from inside Windows before, but I am running 98SE.

It's been a while, but I think I remember the beep for entering standby may be under the power management options, and the others may be as well.

Alternately, have you have the Thinkpad Configuration Utility installed? That may be required to get control over these sounds.
