ThinkPad 760ED MPEG Driver

#1 Post by AlphaKilo470 » Thu Mar 23, 2006 9:36 pm

Does anyone have the MPEG features driver for the 760ED/XD? I've searched all over the internet and IBM/Lenovo's websites and I was able to find nothing pertaining to the MPEG features. If anyone has this file and/or knows of a place to download it' I'd be greatful.

I just got home, so I will check the 760 that I got from you and copy over the files and send them to you. I will do this either tonight or tomorrow morning. I have been wanting to fire that beast up, but have been working on a few different systems recently.

Thanks. If you are able to do that, you're a lifesaver. I didn't even give a thought to copying the drivers I had sitting on that 760ED to antoher disk when I sent you that 760 because I wasn't expecting to have another one on my hands, or at least not so soon.

ThinkPad 760ED MPEG Driver

In some boxes that I have coming (I've recently moved) I have the 760ED factory CDs including the Win95 recovery disk (gold-coloured) and a sample MPEG movie from IBM that features Arnie (I think)... if you get stuck...

AND ALSO I've just read the sticky at the top of this forum - you can get the following files for the 760ED running Win95 off
http://greyghost.dyndns.org/pccbbs/mobiles/

mptpgcd1.exe 347634 01-16-98 Video CD Player Install Diskette (v1.20)
mptpgcd1.txt 1261 01-16-98 README: Video CD Player Install Diskette

mptpgw95.exe 347136 05-16-97 MPEG Features Package II (v1.12)
mptpgw95.txt 4188 05-16-97 README: MPEG Features Package II (v1.12)

...is this not what you needed?
