Hey there folks,
Does anyone here use itunes on their thinkpad? I am mostly a Mac user but I do love my Thinkpad 600e that was given to me. I plan to upgrade it and it's very modular so very easy. Right now I'm using it for itunes podcasts. Anyone else using it for their thinkpad?

i understand if you download them to just listen to them on that computer but once you are done with it on your computer and want to put them on your ipod, presuming that you have one, the transfer speed is very slow, becuase the 600e only has one USB 1.0 port, albieght that you can get a USB hub. personally i don't because i only have a 10gb hardrive and i would rather use that space for working.
that is my personal preference and you might not mind.
keep up the posting

Sounds good. I use my itunes on my thinkpad for doing mostly podcasts. Those are encoded at a lower bitrate and of course they don't take up much more room. I will be upgrading the hard drive later on this summer...

He could probably get a PCMCIA USB 2.0 card that would solve the speed issue.

I also use a PCMCIA USB 2.0 card without Problems - I can even watch TV with an external USB-Tvtuner or use USB2-Sticks with full speed. But for external Harddisks the
PCMCIA won't give you enough Power, I need an external Powersupply for the external Harddisk - this is maybe also a problem, if you connect the iPOD...

So I recently got my hands on a 600E, and I absolutely love it, it’s a fantastic retro machine. But there is one thing that really bothers me, over...
