Games that run well on the thinkpad 600X (without the dock)

Older ThinkPads.. from the 600, the 7xx, the iSeries, 300, 500, the Transnote and, of course, the 701

Games that run well on the thinkpad 600X (without the dock)

#1 Post by DarkJesus » Fri Apr 14, 2006 8:44 pm

I wonder if I'm able to post this....

Anyway, I thought it would be cool to create a list of games that thinkpad 600X users have been able to play pretty efficiently on their thinkpad 600Xs. This is without the selectadock.

I myself have played Diablo 1 and the sims 1 on mine. They both run very very well.

I play Simcity, SimTower, Duke Nukem 3D (jfduke3d w/ high res pack), Half-Life, Counterstrike, oppsoing force, Blue Shift and a ton of my old DOS games I have found to run well on my 600E.

Would all these games that work on a 600E work on a 600X?

Yes, as the 600X is faster/newer than the 600E.

Cool, I gotta check some of these games out. Especially half-life.

Yeah Half-Life/CS 1.5 is good on the 600X, I have been playing with my friends online now for a while in CS, however, I have to play in a 600 something resolution... is that the same for everyone?

I'm still yet to try multiplayer on my 600E so I wouldn't know about it but I can imagine it'd have to be set pretty low. As for single player, I am able to run 1024x768 using the software engine just fine.

No matter what mode I play in Half Life I get bad frame rate if my resolution is higher than the smallest resolution. I think it should be running better, could it just be a setting? Any suggestions, thanks.

Deadly Rooms of Death is a fun, free puzzle game.
