365X start-up error message

#1 Post by JJVascon » Fri Apr 21, 2006 4:28 pm

I have a thinkpad 365X which I acquired new about 1996, running Windows 95A. It has 40 MG memory and the original 810 MB HD. Recently, we lost power with the computer on and when I tried to boot up again (a day or two later), it would not boot but went into the set-up screen. After running it through the tests, and trying to restart, it presented me with a blank screen and the error message 4B 301 which it repeats upon attempts to go throught the setup screen again. I have mislaid my documentation. What does this error code mean?

Thanks. Unplugged my external keyboard and it worked.
