Connect 760xl HDD to stationary computer

#1 Post by skoglund » Thu Apr 27, 2006 3:54 am

I'm sort of a beginner on anything concearning laptop hardware. But I've come as far as to remove the harddrive (5.1GB IDE DISK DRIVE - 00K7907) and buy a standard 2,5 to 3,5 adapter. Now, the connection on the black box doesn't fit the adapter. I got this tip that I need to open the thing, and inside there I will find a disk that has the standard connector. Can anyone confirm this? Or will I ruin the disk if I open it up?

yes, you'll have to open the hdd-caddy to get to the harddisk itself.
