I keep hearing that only pc66 and 100 memory will work in the 600E, yet i unknowingly bought and installed:
Form Factor: SODIMM 144-pin
Memory Speed: 133MHz
Logical Type: SDRAM
Supply Votage: 3.3V
Data Integrity Check: Non-Parity
It is 133 and it works- so is there some problem i should expect? it runs perfectly!!

Sometimes, people have been lucky (including myself) and been able to get 128mb PC133 sticks of ram to work in a 600E. The same isn't true for 600s.
Whether or not it works depends on the brand and quality of the PC133 ram, and possibly even the system. I have two sticks of 128mb PC133 ram work in one 600E and not another. They were different model/type numbers. IN retrospect, the one that didn't work might have been the dreaded A5x or 55x model/types.

thats why i prefer the 600e to the 600x(no bios manufacture tricks),besides fsb for fsb the 600e onboard ram has superior cas latency 2 that accepts cas 2,2,2 with bx chipset tuner with its onboard ram.
the 600x has the sluggier cas 3 and fastest 3,2,2 attainable
with its onboard ram, disable onboard ram fitt 2,2,2 and that really
makes the 600x fly but with less ram than the 600e
if speed is your goal.
