HELP SOS MAYDAY ThinkPad 240 sleeps on its own at BIOS scree

#1 Post by Rahulio1989300e » Tue May 09, 2006 2:05 am

Hello,

My 240 has suddenly developed a booting problem, when I turn it on, it brings up the bios screen, but then shortly, the sleep symbol on the left hinge starts to blink. Then eventually, the laptop goes to sleep.

When I push the power button after this happens, the laptop tries to come back, I can hear the CPU fan rev up, but then the laptop suddenly sleeps again...

Please help, post here or email suggestions to rahul.raj.bhatia@gmail.com

Thank You

I found the problem! The sleep button on the lower part caved in and was causing the laptop to sleep no matter what I did!
