Will Memory PC-133 fit in slot for PC-66 ????

#1 Post by chanbru » Wed May 10, 2006 4:44 am

Hi you all.

I am helping a friend with an old thinkpad 600E. It has slots for PC-66 but I only have PC-133 available. He lives far away and I am to ship him the memories. Anybody knows if it will work?
thanks in advance.

It depends on the model, but yes PC133 will work on a 600E that requires PC66.

I have two sticks of 128mb PC133 memory in my 600E model 2645-8AU.

However, be careful if the memory are 256mb chips. They need to be low density, and from what I've read, still may not work.
