770z bios update problems

#1 Post by patrickw99 » Sat May 13, 2006 9:42 am

I have a tp770z with a dead main battery. I need to update the bios on the laptop. the Ibm update utility will not allow me to update the bios untill I have a fully charged battery. is there any way around this? I want to update the system and try to install XP on it. if I cannot Install XP then I do not want to buy a new battery.

Anyone have any Ideas?

Buy a battery.

XP runs very well on a 770Z, I've been running it on mine since the first BETA release.
