iseries with an A21M 2628 FWU 365Mhz cpu ?

Greetings,

I have (due to the settling of an estate) a ThinkPad iseries with 2611-452 on the barcode sticker, but the "general" tab on the System Properties window says it has the cpu as described in the subject to this message. Has this ThinkPad been upgraded?

The notebook is very slow by todays standards, particularly since it is loaded with XP Pro with only 64mb of RAM. I'm trying to decide if it is worthwile to put more memory and a faster/larger hdd into it.

I think more memory would make a BIG difference. When I went from 128MB to 256MB on a WIN2K machine, it really sped things up. I assume that XP needs even more memory. I would start by adding 256 or 512MB of memory...

Unless you're running out of hard drive space, I probably wouldn't put in a faster hard drive (just my opinion).
