I have TP600 266Mhz
I know that this cpu may be overlocked up to 300-366 and more.
How it may be possible? Need solution =)

They aren't overclocked, they have the CPUs replaced with faster ones. You can go all the way up to 400MHz with a new MMC-1 CPU.

Don't all 600 series use MMC2?

i want to overlock 266mhz cpu, not replace.
If anybody have a 366 or 400mhz MMC-1 cpu, please, mail me(
tinich@sarov.info ) a high-rezolution photos of this.
I would try to hardware modify 266mhz cpu as 366 or 400mhz. I know 100% that it is possible.

No,the base 600 uses a MMC1..
The 600e's and 600x's use the MMC2....

I tried to find the link a couple of weeks ago but I couldn't find it.. There is a way,I THINK,it involves soldering a resistor onto the CPU board.. But if memory serves me it only gave an 8% bump in speed.. IMHO thats hardly worth the trouble..
But i will look again...

I don't think I've seen records or photos of someone modifying an MMC-1 PII 266MHz CPU to increase the speed. If you think that you can modify a PII 266MHz MMC-1 board and somehow "make" a PII 300MHz MMC-1 board, then I am not sure that you know enough about how MMC boards work to be fiddling with them, and I would not recommend that you proceed with attempting modifications. But that is up to you to decide.
Information about how to modify Pentium III MMC-2 boards (which are NOT THE SAME as Pentium II MMC-1 boards) is available here:
Mod the Pad
and
IBM Thinkpad 600E bios mod for processor update [Wim's BIOS]
You might also want to compare results with this person's work on a different laptop:
Compaq Armada 1750 Laptop Overclocking & CPU Upgrades

Maybe it was a MMC2 mod.. I don't remember, but I remember seeing pics of a mod someone did on a CPU board.. I still can't find the link..

Duh...

..I followed your link in your last post but I didn't scroll down to see the pix...Yep that was the pictures,so it was a MMC2 CPU...Thx for the link...
But at least my memory isn't totally shot,I did remember the 8% OC correctly...

http://www.xabk.co.uk/ (mod the pad)-- great site. it is bad that nothing such this about TP600

(MMC2 mod)

yes, i am very little know about MMC-1 board, i need any specs or any information about this.
and.. How may be possible to increase FSB to ...83(?)mhz ? obviously that it is need to cpu board modification, not a motherboard.
sorry, my english is very bad
