Hi,
My 760el has developed a problem with the AC adapter. It seems the adapter does not make an adequate connection unless I jiggle the cord close to the pins. I don't know if the pins are loose or if there is a more serious problem with the circuitry. I changed AC adapters and the problem persists. The computer runs on battery power, but if I do not periodicaly do the jiggle thing, the battery runs down and the machine quits. Anybody have any ideas on a fix? Things run fine otherwise. Someone told me it may be the CMOS battery? Any ideas? Thanks.
