Is there an ethernet port on the 570e with the docking station? If so where?

Information concerning IBM Thinkpads can be found be searching the following site:
http://www.ibm.com/help/us/en/help/
Entering multiple search terms in the box at the top of the page, with "+" in front of each, will usually get you what you want. For your case:
+570e +port +ethernet
returns a couple of hits, the first of which is:

ThinkPad Port Replicator with Advanced EtherJet - Files
This appears to be a download page for a port replicator with built-in ethernet. The FRU is 05K4872. You can then enter that FRU into the search box to get more information about that particular item. Or click on the User's guides and manuals link on the left side of that page. You will need Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer to view any of the manuals (there's a link to it on the page where you download the manual).
From a quick look at some of the documentation, the ethernet jack is in the middle of the back of the adapter.
Be sure to read all of the information about installing the option. There are usually minimum levels of BIOS updates or operating system versions that you need.
