What Size HDrive can I stuff in a 2645-8PU??

#1 Post by keesesp » Thu Jun 22, 2006 5:25 pm

I paid 48.USDs+S&H=$68:Bucks+2X256(33L3070)=60:Bucks+odds and ends=Total($199.USDs

Anomily, for why it sold for $48.USDs = Dust Bunny stuck in MicroSwitch in Subcard. Still paid 20Buck to procure a new one before I found out it was a dust bunny.

Now to my new anomily. Lost OS windows XP Pro, formated HDrive stuck on 8%.
Need a replacement HD, what should I be looking for??
Would like a 60GB 7200, but what will work??

Help!!

Welcome to the forum!!

You can use ANY storage size 2.5" PATA hard drive 12.5mm in thick or less.

Before you buy another drive, unless you really want a new drive....have you updated the BIOS to be able to load WinXP?

How do I do that without having an OS to load it from?

I have lost the OS, on the 40GB.
Unless, I install on the 40GB, knowing I will loose it, from a bad spot on the drive..
