IBM 600 memory capacity

#1 Post by pcnoob » Wed Jul 19, 2006 10:47 pm

This is weird. I put a low density 256mb pc100/133 memory module in the second slot of my TP600(not E or X) and it recognized every megabyte of it. I thought only the E and X can use 256mb memory modules.

Nope. Most computers using the 440BX chipset will recognize it. Just be careful with the really oddball computers like the 560Z which has the 440BX chipset but uses EDO RAM.
