600e bios upgrade & memory issue

#1 Post by clevelandibm » Mon Jul 24, 2006 10:52 am

I have a 600E , model number 2645-????. Someone blacked out the last part of the model number. The date by the serial number says 04/99.

I was able to get it to accept 128 MB of memory, but not a second 128 MB. Is it a BIOS issue?

Using the F1 key, I will check the BIOS version.

Thank you in advance.

You can go to download and drivers at ibm.com to automatically detect your model #.

Is your memory pc66 or pc100?
