Welcome to the forum!
For starters, download a copy of the Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) for the 570/E series from the following link:
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... IGR-4793QA
I'm not exactly familiar with the 570 systems but the LCD panel looks like it is attached to the case in a similar way that the 600/E/X series does. What you need then is a new pair of hinges. There are different ones depending upon the LCD screen size. Refer to pages 91 and 103-105 in the HMM. It does require a fair amount of disassembly in order to get the the hinges.
While you are at it (the disassembly), take the time to inspect the LCD cable for tears or cracks and replace if needed. That may be your problem with the intermittent bad pixels. You have to take the panel out of the lid to get to the end of the cable where it plugs (slides) into the display. It's also possible that the pixels are bad because the panel has flexed so much over the years that the connections to the internal transistors are now bad. The only way to fix that is to replace the entire panel.
And finally, it is suggested that you access your profile (link at the top of this page) and provide your general location so we know where/when (time zone differences) you are.
