Can you make the IBM Diag (PS2) software bootable?

Hey,
I'm having a little problem here. I'm putting Ubuntu Linux on my Thinkpad 600 and I'm having issues with the sound card (not uncommon). I need to run IBM's PS2 software to verify the ports and irq setttings and stuff for the sound card. I got the newest version from here: http://www-3.ibm.com/pc/support/site.ws ... IGR-4ZFPEG
Is there any way to make all that stuff bootable so I can run it and check the settings without actually installing it?

PS- I just ordered an MMC-1 400MHz module off ebay
I'll have to post pictures of my custom paint job on my laptop!
