Just installed SUSE 10.1 on my newly upgrade 600E.
How can I enable the L2 cache of my PIII 600 in following senarios?
1) startup of OS
2) recover from standby
3) recover from herbilation
I read some thread talking about send "cachemem=256k" to the kernel. How can I do it?
Thanks,

I don't use Linux yet, so I can't verify anything, but here is some info about that:
Activating the L2 data cache of Pentium III in Thinkpads 600
Also, in
The official 770 Upgrade and general information Topic, a user mentions a Linux utility called "cache-enabler 1.20". Unfortunately, the link to this is now dead. There may be a couple people in the Forum who have copies they could send to you by email.

Better late than never.
If you arrived here with Google and you are looking for cache enabler 1.20, get it from Web Archive:

You will need a DOS partition to run FreeDOS, then Cache Enabler. After that, use a DOS bootloader to boot another OS.
