Hello! I'm trying to instal a Linux on my old 770ED. However it doesn't automatically boot up from the CD. I'd like to change this in the BIOS settings, however I cannot get into that either. In fact, I don't know HOW to get into the BIOS of one of these.

Which button should I press/hold and when?

Many thanks in advance. With kind Regards,

ok Thanks alot for that link! Keeping F1 pressed as I boot really worked.

 All I think I did, was change the boot order of the system, adding in the CD Drive. But now the Monitor is really dim. It's almost like it's getting no power. I've never had anything like this happen before. Any thoughts or ideas?

Regards,

I assume that by "Monitor" you mean the LCD, and not an external monitor, right? First thing to check is the slider at the bottom of the LCD panel, just above where it connects to the keyboard. Slide it all the way to the right. Does that make any difference?
