New Thinkpad Owner

Hello all...
I'm new to the forums, I recently inherited a thinkpad 600x 2645-5GU (specs are at the bottom).
I have many questions i hope to find here on these forums, but just thought I'd get my feet wet here.

There is much information that can be harvested from searching the archives if you are careful in phrasing your search terms. If you mostly enter "AND" searches, then simply click the "search for all terms" checkbox first. It's easier than entering "cmos AND battery AND bios AND" etc. Since you have a 600X, you can also limit your searches to this forum. Of course you can get information directly from IBM/Lenovo from these sites:
IBM general search page
Hardware Maintenance Manual for 600X
Software/Device drivers for 600X
If you can't find what you need here, just post your question and hopefully somebody should be along in a little while...
