Hi,
my TP600E brings an error (code 01201) everytime I swich it on.
I was on the IBM homepage, but I need a modell and machine type to get help there and I don't have them.
Where can I look which kind of error this is, or does any1 know the problem?

Never seen that error before. Is there a dash between any of the numbers?

serial port: dev 011; err 10; FRU 0010
infrared: dev 103; err 08; FRU 0010
parallel port: dev 009; err 01; FRU 0010

Try replacing the backup battery first. Some weird BIOS errors come up when the backup battery gets low.

Ok I already heard that this could be the problem, but i wasn't rather sure, and I need to know where the backup batterie is, and what kind of batterie it is.

It's a $1.25 CR2025 with two wires and a small plug welded to it. (Translation - IBM charge you $12.00 plus $8.00 shipping).
Bill might have them in stock but IBM probably charge him an arm-and-a-leg wholesale for it, too!

thanks, but I already tested another backup batterie, and now I get some more errors: 1201, 1101, 163
I'm not sure, perhaps the mainboard isn't ok...
