NeoMagic 128 - TP600 - XP-Driver?

#1 Post by red.schumi » Wed Oct 18, 2006 1:31 pm

hi @ all,

i´m looking for some xp-drivers for my tp600 with a NeoMagic 128.
does anyone know, where i can get these drivers?

i´ve installed winXP sp2, but xp has no driver for this graphiccard.

and another question: i have one "unknown device" in the device manager and didn´t known what this is.
can anyone answer me my questions?

greetings from munich

Did is what i do to get all the required drivers, First of all you will need a legal install of xp.

1-go to contro panel/system/hardware/windows update there select "if my device needs a driver without asking me" option click ok all the way then manualy download the updates. That way you will receive all the required drivers automaticaly.

I hope this helps.

...this did not work for me, because the update didn´t find any
driver for the "unknown device".
also my neomagic 128: i think there´re no driver available for
this device.
hope anyone can give me a much more positive answer

Windows XP should have a working built in driver for the NM 128XD. On my 600, I was able to install XP and from there was ready to go.

XP has a built in drive for Neomagics... but it may not support TV-out, you can use the neomagic for 2k from other thinkpads, google around.
