I have laptop - Thinkpad 760el.
I have bought PCMCIA Cardbus USB and I have tried to install it.
I have WIn 98 SE and I don't know what I should do to install card.
Installation process was starting after putting the card to my computer and next after completed installation this process was restarting again.
I have tried to use CD drivers. My card doesn't work corectly after completed installation.
Please, help me!!! I haven't USB port in my computer and I can't transfer my files from laptop to other computer.

The only advice I can offer at this time is to follow the install directions for the PCMCIA-USB adapter exactly. Some install instructions will tell you to load the software/drivers before plugging the adapter into the laptop. Other instructions may say to install the hardware, then have Windows load the drivers from the CD.

If it is not working, try to remove the driver(s) and software and then start again.

Also, what is the maker and model number of the Cardbus USB adapter? That information may help us with your problem.

you have a serial port on the 760el: how about using a null modem
cable and kermit? Not fast, but reliable and the cables are cheap to
make.
the way up and the way down are the same (heraclitus)
