re battery meter on 2611

With win98 installed I had a battery meter which displayed a state of charge in system while operating. FN + ? Now I have XP on board and no meter Can I bring it over from 98 to operte in xp? If so what is it called?

You can try this, but not sure, since your model isn't listed: Battery Maximizer.

Be sure to read the instructions, because you have to unpack the exe file, then go into where it was store and run the setup program.

I strongly believe the 2621/2621 is one of those few Thinkpads that are definitely not Xp supported by either the Power Manager and Batter Maximiser. I haven't gotten either to install, at all. It always craps out and Xp just says it is unsupported. The default Xp Power Options really suck, and nothing more than an inaccurate fuel gauge. If anyone can add success to this, please share!
