770X 9397DVD issue

#1 Post by Cornwall52 » Sun Aug 29, 2004 11:58 am

I have a 770X and in windows 98, directx reported that direct3d worked, and i could play games using hardware acceleration, now i installed xp and i no longer have hardware video acceleration. i am wondering if anyone else has had this problem and or know how to remedy it, i have tried many drivers, most of which don't work because finding drivers for xp is not an easy task. any help is appreciated. thanks

It loads a driver for the 9397DVD, it runs everything right except direct3d and now i am thinking that it just plain will not work with directx 8.1 which is standard in the xp distro. so i think im out of luck unless anyone knows any different.

when it runs found new hardware it sees it as the 9397DVD
