I just don't know how to. The bios does not show any option to disabling it. Because I am trying to install the audigy 2 pcmia sound card and I believe it needs to disable the onboard audio. It worked on my other fujitsu laptop but not this one. I have checked everywhere on the net info about it but can't find any.I wonder if anyone would know how to disable it
thanks

Can't you just disable it in the device manager?

yes I did, its one of the steps I needed to do in order for the pcmia sound card to work. It seems like I have to disable both in order for it to work 100%. And seems this common problem also goes for any laptop/desktop when installing a sound card. But problem only big problem on this transnote is theres no audio disable/enable in bios....

Do you have ThinkPad Configurator installed? It offers the option of disabling audio, and it works at the BIOS level. Give that a try.
