What I must do as a workaround is this for Sound in DOS

EDIT; forgot to say I am talking about 600 2645-45U (I don't know if it's 600E or 600)
Yeah some questions here.
I don't currently have Windows 98, however, I do remember that in order to get sound in DOS mode I have to "Initialize" Thinkpad in CMOS in order to get that. I have no clue what is going on here, but any of you fine people know?
Also, Margi DVD decoder card when running on XP, since the driver was never officialy written for it in XP, I found out that the system won't resume from Standby. It comes up with Bluescreen usually IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Anyone know of a fix (it seems to be an issue with sound card - I get one of those repetitive sound effects afterwards occasionally)
Lastly if I want to buy a thinkpad 600x with decent amount of RAM off the ebay, what should be the most I should pay for it + Shipping - targetting mainly CPU of 500 Mhz.
I noticed that some prices go as high as $190 with shipping, and then I see that there are buy it now for $155.
