You can install debian by a net install. Just download the iso "Official netinst images" for "i386". Then in the cd burning program of your choice you need to find an option "write cd from iso" or "write cd from image" (something like that). You select the .iso file and burn it to cd.

(This is for the net install which will need a working internet connection dureing install or the system will be very limited (no GUI etc..). For install only from cd often the first 2 debian cd's are enough I've read)

problem wifi only

As you have noticed, there are 15 install cd's (to install from cd only).

I quote mm.gnu.org.in:
basic installation 1st cd
Kde and gnome 2nd and 3rd.
all sorts of stuff 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th.
U can boot from all seven however only one will give you install
options.
So you will need the first and the second and/or third (probably depending on which GUI you would like to use, gnome or KDE).

Wireless sometimes works out of the box, but if I'm right there is no build in wireless card in the 600e, which will probably mean you need specific drivers. I would look up manuals for the wireless card install, download all the requered files and write it on a cd or so, which you then can use to do the wireless card install on your new system.

Once I had my wireless card installed the network detection and connection (using networking tool from gnome) worked.

You also might want to check out the Thinkwiki.org page of the 600e.
