hi! yeah havnt been on these forums for a good while now, a testament to how well built these machines are! im looking for a tv tuner card for my 600e, i upgraded it to a PIII 500mhz, 288mb ram and a big HD (2645-8A0 model)i see there is a tv logo next to a small round hole on the right of my 600e which is covered with a bezel. do i need to buy a specific cable/card/thing! and will the picture be ok, i dont want it to be choppy or really low resolution!? thanks to anyone that replies.

You would need a tv-out adapter to convert it to a composite or s-video output. I have one of these if you're interested, but they don't seem to work with XP.

Just so that you know...it is a TV OUT card, not a tuner card.

A tuner card is for input, not output...meaning that it would capture video from the TV onto the PC/laptop.

The card that goes there is for outputting your video onto a TV. (ie watching DVDs)

If the opening is covered then you don't have the feature. IBM info for the 600E states that some models don't have TV out, and the hole is covered in that case (in my case too).
