Okay, I got the bezel off and the new LCD in; now how do I get the bezel back on? I had to nearly break it to get it off; it was not nearly as easy as the manual makes it look.

actually.. I think I may have been too hasty; I seem to have put the catches in upside down.

I spoke too soon; having a little bit of a problem again; it doesn't quite slip in all the way on the right side. it's something like 1/32" short of where it needs to be. I can't find any obstructions that account for it though.

Oh, and check this out: the bezel I'm putting on is the one from the dead 600E I bought. I would have used my original, but one of the anchors (I don't know the proper name) was melted and keeps it from sliding all the way in. Frankly, I have no clue how it fit on in the first place.

Hello, I'm surprised to see that it's difficult to change this part.

I did that too, and it took me 10 minutes, no more. And without looking at the HMM.

I'm surprised too; I eventually got my bezel to fit properly by melting the 'snap' into a more proper shape with my wood burner. The "newer" bezel fits fine on its assembly, but not onto mine.

My (surprising) lesson from this is that not all bezels are the same.
