I'm sorry to bring this up, but is there anything newer in the TP line (T23, T40, etc.) that matches the KB and solidity of the 770X? Many thanks for any suggestions.

Hello,
I've just read yesterday a topic that deals with the solidity of the Ts.
It seems that the older ones (T23 particularly), are more solid than the T40. The T40, thinner, is more flexible.
But overall quality of these laptops is better than average ones... The 600s were THE exception, with their amazing solidity. I have one, and I'm totally satisfied.
I've read your other topic, where you explain that you'd like to change your 770x and R31.
It seems that the R31 doesn't meet what you want in terms of performance (Wow, what a sentence !!! I'would have liked to write a more concise one, but I don't find my words !

)
So, If you want to buy a Txx, then you should consider the T30 or the T40. If you can find a T23 loaded with a PIII-M 1.13 GHz, It should be a nice choice too.
You should tell us how you use your laptop (what OS, what softwares, plugged, or with batteries).

No, Tarkus and I are two different people. I am the one in the other thread that was using the R31 that was a laptop owned by the school district that I work for (that I may have to give up constant access to). [I was happy with the R31's performance and just wanted to bring the 770X up to at least that performance level.]
I was looking for someone to respond to Tarkus' question, since I was interested in the same thing. [Even if I don't buy a newer laptop for now, having a target replacement gives me an idea how I should spend on my 770X before I just say "sell it" and get the newer one.]
Thanks.
