Good evening all, once again i need a bit of help - i've had a problem with the motherboard on my 600x, i followed the directions to disable the on board RAM (thanks tfflivemb2 for the lead), and managed a full clean install of XP, but now it won't play DVD's properly (was OK previously). i'm using Power DVD as before, but now it picks up the audio fine, but won't display the video - any suggestions?? I've tried resetting resolution, and following all instructions from XP help, but makes no difference....
thanks all

This forum is spot on!!! after posting this problem, i've looked a bit further, i found a lead to Media Player Classic, which solved the playing problem - it was still a bit choppy, so looked a bit further and found that this is because i've disabled on-board RAM (faulty)
thanks all for your posts, and a Happy New Year to you all

The old Margi DVD pcmcia card provides hardware acceleration which speeds up the dvd palyback making it flawless as stated in other posts.
