570 MB Compatible with 570E?
570 MB Compatible with 570E?
Searched for this, but didn't find anything.
Does any one know if a 570E motherboard will fit in a 570 chassis? I might be able to get a 500MHz PIII 570E motherboard cheap, and could upgrade my PII 366MHz 570.
Thanks for the insight

Cheers mate! Thanks for that.
Did you keep the original heatsink/fan, or did you upgrade that with one from a 570E as well?
I can buy a brand new, bare motherboard off eBay for 50 bucks.

Yes , I used all the working parts , except screen, for the transplant
I actualy did it because the origonal 570 had a cracked case, so bought a job lot of base cases of ebay, they came with mobo's attached, but the mobo that was a 570 e also had a cracked case, so with a bit of juggling, managed to perm one good 570e mobo, one good base with a duff 570 removed & the origonal top * screen.
tempted to call it a frankenpad but the term seems to be bagged

Guess your ThinkPads could be accused of having split personalities then, eh?
