I recently took my Thinkpad 600 to the shop to get my os re installed, I put a audio cd when i got it to listen to music. There is no sound coming out of the speakers. Maybe they didnt install the audio drivers. Where can i get some new audio drivers? i also seem to get the login sound.

Before fiddling with the drivers, check that you haven't accidentally turned on the hardware "mute" function or reduced the volume to 0 at the hardware level by playing your CD and then pressing:
Fn+PgUp (should beep on each press to indicate raising volume)
and then try
Fn+Backspace (should enable or disable mute)
Also, check in your Volume control panel to make sure you haven't muted something through your software by accident.
All drivers for the 600 series are available from the Lenovo site:
Software and Device Drivers - ThinkPad 600, 600E, 600X.
Finally, you might want to check out the
Thinkpads.com FAQ, which contains a storehouse of information and answers to common questions like where to find drivers for your machine.
