Refurbishing my Battery
I sent my 600X battery to get refurbished by a company i saw on the web called www.refurbishedibmbattery.com They claim to recell a non working battery, and then after words the battery will hold a charge for 1hr 40 to 2hrs depending on the battery.
As anybody heard of them? I sent my battery of on the 9/03. I will post a update when I get my battery back.

30 day replacement
what is the 30 day replacment battery mentioned on their web site
Open the Thinkpad Configuration Utility and click the LCD button, then select HIGH for "Brightness while running on batteries."animefreak wrote:Well I got my battery today. During my first chargeing I got a 98% charge.
I have a question thought, is my screen suppose to be dimmer when I use a battery compare to useing a AC wire? Is there a way to change the display settings?

Bqttery REBUILDERS
I have not heard of that company but I have heard of and dealt with some of their competitors.
There are really only abbout a half a dozen rechargable batteeries that are used for this kind of stuff. They are also used for radios, DVD players and a whole bunch of other devices, but only a few batteries, There are, however, hundreds of different packages where they take 2, ro 10 or however many of this very few different batteries, hooke the up in serries, parrallel or some combination of that, and wrap a shell and a few sensors and in IBM's case sometimes a computer chip. and away we go.
So, what these companies do is open up your battery wrapper
Then they put in new batteries, seal it back up and return it.
If you have an older "No way can you possible find a replacement battery for this box not even on E-bay" type device. They can rebuild your old battery for usually less than the cost of a new one if you could find one.
