New 570e battery should give you how many minutes?

Older ThinkPads.. from the 600, the 7xx, the iSeries, 300, 500, the Transnote and, of course, the 701

New 570e battery should give you how many minutes?

#1 Post by cure » Thu Jan 25, 2007 3:03 pm

I picked up a "new" battery for my 570e off of EBAY. It looked to be mint and certainly functions, but the time it functions, without much disk churning and will new dvd activity, is somewhat less than an hour. This seems too short to me. Is this below what is to be expected? Thanx.

PC Magazine did a review of the 570E in 2000. They were able to get a battery life of around three hours:

Can you tell us the current charge capacity and the designated capacity? You can find that out by using a program called MobileMeter. Open the options menu and there you find a tab for Battery information. There you can find out everything about the battery from is Manufacture, and capacity. I just need to know the current charge capacity and I can tell you roughly how long that battery should last.

P.S. Fix your email address or Bill is going to kick you off!
