Has anyone found a way to flash the BIOS on a 760ED without a battery? I've searched all over, but none of the solutions I found will work with the 760ED. Is there a hacked IBM update program, or a generic flash program that will work?
I understand the reason for them requiring a battery, but I'm willing to take the risk. The computer is useless with the original BIOS, so I have nothing to lose. It's simply not worth the cost of buying a battery (unless I can get one for about $5). If I can't find a way to flash it without the battery it will probably never be used again.
