Can anyone tell me if a TP 600X 2645 video card can be upgradeable to something higher than 4mbs? Has anyone done ever done it?

Welcome to the Forum!!

No, unfortunately, you cannot upgrade the VGA ram, as the video card is integrated into the system board.

As a side note, one can insert a video card into a docking station that takes PCI cards.

You can't upgrade the video but you can improve DVD performance with a MARGI DVD-To-Go card if that is what you are trying to do.

This may or may not improve the performance of the 600X (it was designed for the 600/600E) and I think there may be some driver issues with XP.

There are now some USB video cards made for laptops. Of course they are used to drive an external monitor only, won't improve graphics on the notebook screen. There may be PCMCIA cards that do the same thing (drive an external monitor).
