Very new in the forum. This is my first post, hope won't be the last.
I have the following:
PII PE, 366 MHZ (5.5 x 67)
IBM 49rr678 Motherboard
Intel 82440BX/ZX Chipset
320 MB SDRAM
IBM (01/27/99) Bios
IBM Thinkpad (Cyber9397DVD) (8 MB) Video Adapter
1280 x 1024 Monitor

I would like to upgrade this unit to 500 MHZ

Could somebody explain how can I do it?
Thanks for the help!

I would start by reading through The official 770 Upgrade and general information Topic. After that then you can start a new thread and post whatever specific questions you have. I love the 770Z machines with the 1280x1024 screens, and they are even better after you upgrade the CPU!

Phil.

I read the topic. Interesting! Fantastic!
My doubt: "How can I change the CPU?"
I thought that the motherboard needs to be change. And that the CPU came with it.
I don't know now what is correct!
Thanks,

I am fixing a 770Z that the DC-DC Card got fried.
The CPU Card is 10L1260(366Mhz).
Looking in Fly-Bay I found that the 500Mhz Card is 10L1355 and is used in Thinkpad 600X PIII.
Bingo!
I learn myself what I need.
If this could help any other person, fantastic!
