Hi,
I have now downloaded the latest BIOS update for for my TP 760ed to a floppy on another machine and then copied these files to a CD.
So I now have the following files on the CD:
$0022000.FL1
COMMAND.COM
CONFIG.SYS
flshbios.sys
IBMBIO.COM
IBMDOS.COM
UPDTFLSH.EXE
USERINT.EXE
UTILINFO.EXE
My question now is if I can run the *.exe files from the cd and get my BIOS updated?
Note: I do not have an floppy in my TP!

Do you have a windows 98 cd? or any other OS install cd? Boot the machine with it; in windows 98 use the boot from cd option, then select the boot with cd rom drivers, then you should be at a a: or c: or maybe even a d or e prompt. then pop out the cd and put your bios update cd in and goto the cdrom drive then trying running the UPDTFLSH.EXE file. thats what i'd do. this should work without the 98 cd still being in because the command.com and other need *.sys files are loaded in the memory.

Hi Bigfoot,
thanks for your answer.
Sorry but I have to ask you for hekp about your answer.
Yes, I have a Win98 CD as well as win98 installed on my TP.
I must be a"nut" because I can´t find the "boot from cd option".
Can you guide me were to find that option?
Sorry

sorry for the delay....
With the machine running put in your 98 cd. turn the machine off and then start it again with the 98 cd in. It should boot form the cd rom drive with an option comming up saying boot form cd and another one saying boot form hard dirve. select the boot form cd option.
If you don't get this option then you mahcine is not set to boot off cd and you will ahve to go into the bios and change the boot order so the cdrom is first.
