spdif option on Thinkpad 240x?

#1 Post by red bioroid » Fri Sep 24, 2004 4:39 am

There's an option to check box SPDIF in the master volume>advanced option? I run Win2000 pro and a Plantronics Audio 70 headset . I don't know what SPDIF is for except it has to do with signal cleaniness.

Should I check it or not. I play 90% via the laptop speaker, the sound is fine currently though scratch at higher volume.
Feb 2008=Thinkpad X61s; 2x faster than X40 but not as asthetic.
Dec 2005=Thinkpad X40; perfect, but bigger than 240x.
Jan 2005=Thinkpad 240x; used; fast but dead pixels doomed it.
2003=Thinkpad 240; used,
1998=new Toshiba Tecra 740CDT. Pricey, heavy & last 5 year.
