i picked up a second ibm 600e from ebay very cheap all is ok apart from the track point is broken, my question is can just the track point part be replaced and if so will a one from any other ibm laptop work, or will i have to look out for another 600e key board and change the whole thing

you can replace the track point, but it is very VERY difficult. I believe that rkawakami tried to do that once. Your better off looking for another keyboard. Feel free to most a Want to Buy post in the marketplace for a 600 keyboard.

ok, thanks i'll keep my eyes open for a new key board
