info on a 2611-412

i have an old 1400 series the # on the bottom says 2611 anyone able to tell me how i would find the h/d on this unit and how i go about taking it out...i want to put it into my 1161 model and see if i can get that unit fired up using this drive..but i cant figure out how to open this thing? on the 1161 its one screw and it pops out the side.... and maybe someone can explain the numbering system on these units...the 1161 is a 1200 series where the 2611 is a 1400 series but the 1200 is newer then the 1400...do the #'s descend with age?
