Charger Amps & Volts 600E
Charger Amps & Volts 600E
Could someone tell me what the output amps and volts are on the power brick for your 600E
AC adapter for 600e
I recently purchased a thinkpad 600e model 2645-4AU??. Will an AC adapter with power settings of 16 volts & 4.5 amps that is 72 watts works with it? I've seen conflicting webpages showing what will work with a 600e. Can anyone shed a little light my way on this topic?
The figures I gave came from an IBM manual for the 600e.
My IBM stock ac adapter that came with my 600x has an output of 16v and 3.36 amps. The wattage is not listed. (I just looked at it).
I've seen replacement adapters with a little different specs. Most IBM adapters supply 56 watts while a lot of after market ones supply 75w.
I believe this is so that the after market adapters can support a wider range of computers and aren't limited to a certain family. I pretty sure that like most power supplies the one in the thinkpad can handle input within a certain range without adverse affects.

@MadeInJapan: its not getting really hot + charging aint that slow. i usually use my ac-adapter for charging while not at home. at home i use the dockingstation.
with the standard a/c-adapter my battery is charged with ~20W up to 80% or so, then it drops (thats what mobilemeter shows).
